Why do you love being a personal trainer?
I think exercise and feeling fit and healthy can be contagious! To help someone find the passion and enthusiasm to change their habits, get up and move around and enjoy a new lease on life is the best job there is.

Katie Evans
Katie is a part time personal trainer with Bondi Bum. She has been a fitness fanatic for as long as she can remember!
What is your favourite exercise and why?
I have a few favourites…isn’t that sad? I love plain old running and sprints for cardio training…and resistance-wise, I love lateral raises and Lat pull downs…anything but bicycle legs!
What is the hardest session you’ve ever taken part in?
Those 7 million squats you made me do the other week would have to be up there! Other than that, the last Sydney City to Surf saw me beat my best time by close to 10mins, that was tough.
What exercise do you absolutely hate to do?
Bicycle legs! Or maybe burpees…!
What is your favourite exercise and why?

Sean Rutgerson
Sean is a full time trainer with Bondi Bum. He played rugby for 15 years, more than 10 as a first grade player.
What is your funniest training experience?
Anytime I have to train my wife! And food diaries…there are a lot of people out there only eating a ‘mouthful of cake’
What is your most rewarding training experience?
Working with people who have physical and intellectual disabilities and helping them to gain/keep their independence.
What exercise do you hate to do?
If I’m allowed to say it…running…unless someone is chasing me!

Often a facial expression tells all… giving shuttle runs at the end of a tough session will usually yield a colourful response and provide a few laughs!
What do you enjoy about training outdoors?
Making use of the surroundings when training…there is so much you can do without equipment and just using what is in front of you in a park, on a beach or street to street!
